I've been trying to find these two fics for a while but have had no luck. The first has Rodney and John in a relationship. John wants to try some kind of dominant/submissive (or bondage maybe?) play with McKay in the submissive/tied up role. Or now that I think about it, it may have been the aftermath of a bad mission, and John wants Rodney to submit to John taking complete care of him, ie lying completely still so John can examine him completely and not moving unless John moves him himself - maybe so John can reassure himself that Rodney is ok. There was no coercion on Johns part (maybe a bit of possesiveness?), it was just something he had been wanting to do. This may even be two seperate fics, I'm not sure. However in this particular scenario(s) Rodney has no interest in any kind of submission or being tied up and tells John so - not in a grossed out way "your kink is yucky!" way, just a matter of fact "not my cup of tea" thing. It wasn't a BDSM bashing fic by any means - I think Rodney may even have said that he has no problem with that kind of relationship but it just didn't do anything for him at all (maybe it actually turned him off a bit). He didn't reluctantly try it and find that he loved it. I recall thinking at the time that it was an interesting change from the more frequently seen scenarios of both partners being in complete sync as to what they want in bed, or the immediate enthusiastic embrace of a lovers kink by his/her partner.

The second fic is one that I read a few ago when I first got into this fandom and haven't seen since. The part I remember was (I think) a section of a larger fic. It was some kind of view into an alternate universe or maybe a "trapped in a virtual reality" or hallucination or dream deal. It portrayed the SGA characters as members of a family. John and Elizabeth were the parents, Teyla and Ronon were rebellious teenagers (adopted?) who may have been in a sexual relationship with each other. Rodney was a toddler who (in this small snippet) was sitting in his high chair being fed cheerios by one of his parents. There may have been another older child as well, possibly Lorne or Ford. I remember John or Elizabeth worrying about how much extra attention Rodney needed because of his incredibly high intelligence at such a young age. It may have been a kind of commentary on the familial relationships in canon or it may have been a whacky au, I have no idea. Despite the summary I don't think it was a Sheppard/Weir fic as I don't generally click on stories with that pairing, but I read it when I was just getting into SGA and hadn't seen much of the show, so anything is possible!
